Wild Wadi Waterpark

The city’s first ever waterpark opened in 1999and remains popular. Set against the impressive backdrop of the Burj Al Arab.

The adrenaline-fuelled facility features 30 rides to wow all of the family – from the metre-high waves of Flood River to the spectacular surfing experience of the Wipeout and Riptide Flowriders through to the thrills and spills of Torment Alley.

There are also plenty of activities for little ones, too, with fun-packed racing slides and water guns.

Dubai Museum

Take a break from the frantic pace of modern life to retrace the steps of Dubai’s more humble beginnings. House in the old Al Fahidi fort in Bur Dubai, dating back in 1787 (making it the city’s oldest building), the museum first swung open its doors to the public in 1971.

From exhibits detailing the pearl diving industry through to scenes of home life and early industry and collections of jewelry, tools and other eye-opening artefacts, the museum pays homage to history of the city.

Dubai Opera

The culture spot has been one of the hottest tickets in town since its eagerly awaited opening in 2016.

A stellar cast of performers have already graced the impressive stage – including legendary tenor Placido Domingo – while the stars of the world’s longest-running musical Les Miserable have also been taken to the massive stage.

Jumeirah Mosque

The only mosque in Dubai that is open to the public six days a week (shut on Fridays), Jumeirah Mosque welcomes non-Muslim visitors to learn about Emirati culture.
